24 august 2024 ...
Today we were able to leave for Provence. After the obligatory refueling in Luxembourg, we entered France. There is little traffic on the French motorways and we can drive smoothly.
We have arrived at our first stopover, about 50 km below Nancy. We are in the town of Nomexy at the camper site of Camping-car Park.
On day 2, meanwhile 800 km from home, we arrived at our 2nd stopover. We have a nice spot at the CP of Camping-car Park in Saint-Vulbas.
The only disadvantage of being next to a meadow with horses, goats, sheep and a donkey are the flies and mosquitoes that not only terrorize the animals but us as well.
Tomorrow another 280 km to our first destination.

9 juin 2024 …
Election day in Belgium! After fulfilling our civic duty, we go and vote for friends of ours again, with a proxy. After patiently enduring the long queue, we also colour in the votes with a red pencil.
Then it is finally time to leave for the Czech Republic. Today we have a 420 km drive ahead of us. Due to the elections, there are a lot of people on the road, but there is smooth traffic everywhere, also in Antwerp. It is a sunny day and we reach our overnight accommodation in Bad Arolsen (Germany) without any problems. We are at Reisemobilhafen Twistesee, Bad Arolsen, a large camper place (150 places) on the lake. A few years ago we already stayed here during our trip to Sauerland. I had reserved a place there to be on the safe side because I did not know what time we would arrive.
Nice anecdote: Bad Arolsen is the place where I fulfilled my military service in 1977.

13 may 2024 ...
After a pleasant Mother's Day we leave under a partly cloudy sky for the Bordeaux region in the Gironde department.
We do not experience any problems on the road and the traffic is smooth. I plan the route in advance and to avoid Paris we drive via Amiens southwards past Beauvais to reach Dreux.
After setting the GPS I forgot to check the route to be taken. For example, I had not seen that the GPS was leading us along the southern edge of Paris. Fortunately, we also had smooth traffic there and from La Défense (A86) we even had a view of the Eiffel Tower. Next time I will continue to Rouen and then continue southwards.
After the necessary rest stops we reach our first stop after 435 km. We install ourselves at the camper site of Camping-car Park in Dreux. It is a quiet camper site in an industrial estate. The only disadvantage is the train that passes every half hour just behind the campers, but we did not hear it at night. It is 5pm and it is still lovely to enjoy the sun.

Recente bestemmingen

Starten deden we in Fécamp.

5 augustus 2018, … 10 dagen Zwarte Woud. Feldberg, Bernau, todnau, Hochenschwand,  Waldshut.

10 september 2018, Een rondje Zeeland.
